Expressing concern over the suspension of construction activity in Delhi to regulate pollution, the Delhi CREDAI felt the suspension has thrown many construction workers out of work and adversely affecting property buyers. The CREDAI representatives called on Union Environment Minister Bhupinder Yadav and sought relaxation on the construction activity as it is not going to cause any atmospheric pollution.
The air pollution has increased manifold in Delhi. This has led to Union government stopping inessential construction activity. In this backdrop, the CREDAI representatives called on the Union Environment Minister. The conveyed the adverse impact the suspension of construction activity would have on the realty sector.
Moreover, they told the Minister that it would affect the livelihood of construction worker. Barring demolition, excavation, dry stone cutting, and other construction activities would pose no threat to environment, they explained the Minister seeking permission for resumption of such activities.
