A member of Karnataka Real Home Buyers’ Forum and the Bangalore City Flat Owners’ Welfare Association member Sailesh Charati has lodged a complaint against the K-RERA with the Lok Ayukta alleging dereliction to duty indicting K-RERA secretary, housing department secretary, deputy secretary and under secretary.
He alleged in the plaint that they have been issuing wrong directions in utter violation of the RERA rules thereby showing dereliction to their duty.
He pointed out how they gave wrong orders stating that the dispute between the parties involving Arya Gruha Private Limited has been settled amicably ignoring his complaint against the realtor. They put the status of the case as over in spite of the matter is sub judice, he said.
The Karnataka RERA has been established for the assistane of the home buyers, but it instead of supporting the home buyers it has been giving wrong directions, he alleged.
Moreover, the K-RERA did not mend its ways in spite of he alerting the RERA about its omissions and commissions.
He demanded legal action against Karnataka RERA chairman Kishore Chandra for his fault of giving wrong directions in violation of the RERA Act. It would not serve the purpose of the legislation, he said.
He contended that the Karnataka RERA is not working with the objective of protecting the interests of the home buyers like its counterparts do in other states. Therefore, he sought Lok Ayukta to take action against it.
