Changing architecture of buildings in Hyderabad

Stunning designs of skyscrapers

Builders adopting new and innovative designs.

Hyderabad’s construction industry is breaking new ground. Design and elevation have become a major focus for construction companies when it comes to large-scale projects. Skyscraper designs with international architectural styles are captivating attention.

A clear shift is evident in the skyscraper designs within Hyderabad’s construction sector. Recently, several construction companies have begun creating buildings that bring beauty to the area and city. With elevations that demand attention, these projects are setting a new standard in design. In the next three to four years, city residents will witness these new designs shaping the skyline.

In areas like IT Corridor’s HiTec City, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Raidurg, Financial District, Kokapet, Kondapur, Manikonda, Narsingi, Manchirevula, Khajaguda, Nanakramguda, and Nallagandla, the towering buildings are already giving off a sense of awe. Buildings with 30 to 40 floors that house IT offices, alongside residential skyscrapers, create the feeling of being in a foreign land.

However, until recently, there was some dissatisfaction, with people questioning whether all buildings were simply built like money-making machines. But now, there is a clear shift in the approach of builders and construction companies, bringing fresh and aesthetically pleasing designs to the city.

In the Hyderabad real estate market, house sales are mainly influenced by price and vastu (the traditional Indian architectural principles). Whether it is a two-bedroom or a five-bedroom house, buyers insist that each room must align with vastu guidelines. Developers face significant challenges in selling flats that do not comply with vastu. Builders mention that when designing buildings with specific elevations, it often becomes impossible to ensure vastu compliance in certain flats. This is why many builders avoid using complex elevation designs. Furthermore, designing skyscrapers with unique elevations often requires engaging international designers and consultants, which adds to the costs, contributing to this reluctance.

Local builders, as well as those from other cities, have recently started constructing skyscrapers in Hyderabad with impressive elevations. Some projects have already begun, while others are still in the planning stages. The areas with the most such projects are HiTec City, Puppalaguda, Narsingi, and Raidurg. These projects mostly feature sky villas and villaments (villa-style apartments). Builders are introducing innovative designs like sky decks to attract homebuyers. Recognizing that both the interior and exterior design of a house matter, construction companies are increasingly focusing on both aspects. As a result, it is expected that such projects will continue to rise in the future.

In addition to elevation and building designs, builders are also incorporating modern amenities like swimming pools on the top floors and terrace gardens, built using international architectural methods. These new trends in high-rise building designs are pushing the boundaries of luxury and innovation in Hyderabad’s real estate market.
