- Former HUDA Chairman and former MLA Kodanda Reddy
In a scathing criticism, former HUDA Chairman and former MLA Kodanda Reddy raised concerns over the ownership of lands falling under GO 111, stating that a staggering 80 percent of these lands have been unofficially acquired by politicians, realtors, and officials at significantly lower rates. He alleged that prominent members of the TRS party, including Ministers, former Ministers, and other leaders, have constructed farmhouses in the ecologically sensitive Full Tank Level (FTL) area of the Osman Sagar and Himayath Sagar. He asserted that the government, under the leadership of BRS, has favored the affluent, politicians, and real estate developers by stalling GO 111 until impoverished farmers are compelled to sell their lands, thereby depriving long-standing farmers of their entitled benefits.
Accusing the BRS government of a calculated maneuver, Reddy claimed that they have effectively abolished GO 111, disregarding its importance in safeguarding environmentally sensitive areas. He also criticised the government’s decision to abolish the Bhudan Board, paving way for the unlawful sale of 1.45 lakh acres of land to industrialists. Additionally, Reddy voiced concern over the auctioning of assigned lands that rightfully belong to Dalits, while alleging that TRS leaders are exploiting the Dharani portal to illegitimately acquire lakhs of acres of land from impoverished communities. As a consequence, the lifting of GO 111 has exposed a massive land scam, Kodanda Reddy added.
