A Prayagraj-based builder Anil Kumar Tulsiani, 58, was arrested for defrauding gullible investors to the tune of Rs 11 crore promising them flats. In all, 20 cases have been registered against him in various districts. As he figured as an accused in several cases, a non-bailable warrant has been issued against him. The police said that his modus operandi was that he used to claim government properties as that of his own and offered plots at cheaper prices.
With the help of fake registration documents, he used to cheat the public. He collected Rs 11 crore in this fashion from gullible investors and went missing. On a complaint lodged by his victims, the police were on the look of the builder, who evaded the police for nearly four years. However, he was nabbed by the police recently in Lucknow.
