Minister KT Rama Rao said that Hyderabad was at the top spot in the use of office space. Last year, Hyderabad surpassed Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi to become the number one city in the country in terms of office space usage. Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the Khajaguda Pedda Cheruvu lake development works in Hyderabad. He urged people to observe how Hyderabad developed in the last eight years. He said people who travel along the ORR and see the construction work around, will feel as if they are in a foreign city.

The Minister said investments are coming to Hyderabad due to a good law and order situation, cost of living and quality of life. He said Hyderabad has become the vaccine capital of the world. Around 35 percent of the vaccines produced in the world, are being manufactured in Hyderabad which is expected to scale up to 50 percent next year. He explained that while 900 crore vaccine doses are being manufactured at present, it will increase to 1,400 crore vaccine doses next year. KTR announced that a 55 km expressway will be built across Musi River with Rs 10,000 crores, changing the city’s landscape. He explained that the metro will be built from Raidurgam to Shamshabad Airport with a cost of Rs.6,250 crore and it will be completed in three years. The construction of link roads has been undertaken with Rs.2,400 crores. He said that a place has been identified in Rachakonda for developing a world-class film city.
