Greenfield Road for Future City Connectivity

Road from Outer Ring Road to Future City

The Telangana government is taking steps for the prestigious Future City 4.0 development one by one. The Revanth government strongly believes that Future City will play a crucial role in the comprehensive development of Hyderabad. The foundation stone for a Skill University has already been laid, and arrangements are being made to construct an Artificial Intelligence City there. In this context, various companies from different sectors, including international firms, are set to arrive. Consequently, the Telangana government has decided to establish world-class infrastructure in Future City to meet future needs. As part of this initiative, the Revanth government has decided to construct Greenfield roads in Future City 4.0.

The government is strategically taking steps for road connectivity to meet future traffic needs related to Future City. To enhance connectivity for Future City, the government has decided to construct a Greenfield road extending 40 kilometres from the current Outer Ring Road to the Srisailam National Highway. This road will connect ORR Exit-13 at Ravirala to Meerkhanpet in Kandukur. Preliminary identification has revealed various types of land across 7,622.19 acres in villages including Kongara Khurd in Maheshwar, Adibatla, Dandumailaram, Ibrahimpatnam Kalsa, Kappapahad, Narapalli, Hafizpur, Majidpur, Firozguda, Kongarakalan, Gudur, Gummadavelli, Lemoor, Madhapur, Rachaloor, Thimmapalli, Tumaloor, Mankhal, Panjaguda, and Meerkhanpet.

It has been determined that there is a significant amount of government land in these areas. Officials are considering not only the construction of the Greenfield road but also the development of nearby lands. They estimate that acquiring land over a total area of 497 acres across one village in Maheshwar, six villages in Kandukur, and two villages in Ibrahimpatnam will cost approximately Rs 175.87 crore. The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation owns 834.17 acres in the Ibrahimpatnam area. Additionally, there are about 742 acres of land belonging to the Mines and Minerals Department and the Forest Department in the Kandukur and Maheshwar areas. Plans are underway to connect a Greenfield road from Meerkhanpet to the Regional Ring Road in the future.
