Gujarat launches the RERA 2.0 version
Real estate in Hyd seeks an update of the Telangana portal.
The RERA Act came into force seven years ago, but the Telangana RERA portal has not been updated as per the current situation. However, the Gujarat RERA updated its portal and launched a new website as per the RERA Act and Gujarat RERA rules. The income-tax and GST departments can get a correct picture of the projects because of the new portal. Some developers used to incorporate old photos of the status of their projects in their quarterly progress reports regarding tax exemptions.
But the new portal would not provide any leverage for such tactics. The realtors would have to include the real-time photos. Therefore, the IT officials and GST authorities would be able to clearly know the status of the project. The old version of the RERA portal facilitated the uploading of old photos, but the new version insists on uploading only real-time photos, helping the authorities know the exact condition of the project, according to an official.
Moreover, the real estate experts in Hyderabad suggest bringing out similar changes to the RERA portal here on the lines of the updated version of the Gujarat RERA portal.
