Telangana’s Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has delivered a decisive directive to Empire Meadows, urging swift action to rectify structural flaws plaguing its real estate project. The ruling, issued by RERA Chairperson Justice Dr. N. A. Satyanarayana and members K. Srinivasa Rao and Lakshminarayana, follows an investigation into grievances filed by residents of Empire Meadows Apartment in Sangareddy district.
Purchasers of 3 BHK flats within the project, acquired on February 14, 2020, voiced concerns over incomplete construction despite full payment, leading to prolonged uncertainty regarding project completion. Grievances include unfinished drainage systems, unallocated parking spaces, delayed facility construction, and disruptive ongoing construction activities, significantly impacting residents’ quality of life.
Actually, this project should be completed by 2022. But as the work is still going on, they are facing serious problems due to pollution, noise, dust etc. as the complaint states. Besides, they are collecting maintenance charges without providing any facilities like club house and children’s playground. The complaint also states that drainages have become worse due to improper maintenance. There was no proper response after talking to the builder on those issues. So they approached TS Rera. After hearing the arguments, the bench ordered that the land next to the club house should be developed and handed over to the association. It also suggested that the amenities block should be handed over immediately.
