REG NEWS, OCT 21, Hyderabad: In a landmark development for Hyderabad’s real estate sector, the Telangana Government has approved the construction of the tallest skyscraper ever planned in the city, signaling a major step forward in its vertical urban growth.According to details released by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), the record-setting tower will come up at Kokapet, one of the city’s most sought-after real estate corridors. The project, rising 64 floors high, marks the first-ever approval for a skyscraper of this height in Hyderabad.

The Tallest Tower at Kokapet
Spread across 2.17 acres, the upcoming high-rise will consist of five cellars, a ground floor, and 63 upper floors, offering a total of 362 premium residential units. The project’s built-up area stands at 1.546 million sq.ft, translating to nearly 7.5 lakh sq.ft per acre, setting a new benchmark in high-density luxury living. This development underscores Hyderabad’s rapid evolution into a global-scale urban center, where vertical construction is redefining the city’s skyline.

Other Major High-Rise Approvals in Kokapet
The HMDA has also cleared several other large-scale skyscraper projects in Kokapet, reinforcing the area’s dominance in high-rise development:
Mixed-Use Mega Project (9.71 acres): Two 57-floor residential towers and one 49-floor commercial block, comprising 594 units in total.
Luxury Residential Complex (7.71 acres): Five towers, each rising 56 floors, with 656 apartments spread over 5.54 million sq.ft of built-up area.
These approvals reflect Kokapet’s transformation into Hyderabad’s new high-rise hub, blending residential luxury and commercial vibrancy.

High-Rise Expansion at Bandlaguda Jagir
The high-rise trend is also expanding beyond Kokapet, with Bandlaguda Jagir emerging as another focal point of vertical development. A 47-floor skyscraper has been approved over 2.34 acres, featuring 2 cellars, 5 podiums, and 47 upper floors, with 344 units covering 1.35 million sq.ft.
Another 30-floor residential project will rise across 3.22 acres, offering 1.5 million sq.ft of built-up space. These projects signify the city’s shift toward compact, vertical urban growth, aligning with global metropolitan standards.
