TDRs would be issued on paying compounding fee: City Planner

The GHMC City Planner Mallikarjuna Rao has gone on record saying that the Transferable Development Rights would be issued to the applicants paying the compounding fees. He was taking part as the chief guest at the general body meeting of the NAREDCO West Zone Builders’ Association. With the help of the Transferable Development Rights, site owners having sites more than 2000 square yards would be able to get permission to build two floors. If the site area is less, permission is being given to raise only one floor.

If the permission is taken to raise one apartment complex, it is applicable for six years. Whereas, for individual houses the time limit would be only three years. Giving NOC is very difficult for those structures having mid-land lift. Similarly, granting of NOC would be difficult if the applicant misuses permission given for construction of residential houses, but builds commercial places. Those who want to build commercial space should apply for the relevant permission, he concluded.

ACP Sampath, addressing the general body, said construction of individual houses without parking facility is posing problems to the civic body. As a result, the vehicles are required to be parked on the streets, obstructing the smooth flow of the traffic. Therefore, the builders of individual homes should take permission to have stilt parking and build home in other floors. Addressing the members, ACP Surender Reddy said that the moment a person applies for building permission; the permission will be granted through single window mechanism TS-bPASS. The works related to payment of compounding fees for TDRs can be completed in a week.

Similarly, ACP Ganapati said that TDRs are issued on the spot to the builders while expanding the roads. It would enhance the value of the site. The NAREDCO West Zone Association President M Prem Kumar, Chairman Chenna Reddy, general secretary KV Prasad, advisor N Nageswara Rao, treasurer Subhash Babu, vice-presidents Koteswara Rao, Lakshmi Narayana and Manne Ravi, executive secretaries Narasimha Reddy, RamKumar and Dheeraj Kumar, Joint Secretaries Lakshmipati Raju, Rajendra Prasad, Basant Kuldeep, and BV Subba Reddy and others took part in the programme.
