Our dreams are our simplest connection to the unconscious. Every time we dream, the unconscious is speaking directly to us. Was Tollywood actor Sushanth Anumolu’s unconscious phase speaking to him to pursue his dreams to a home that desires to have? The actor who is busy growing his psychological and spiritual aspects of life also has a dream home idea to share with us.
His dream home idea was pointing to wholeness and individuation! Hearing his dream home wishes felt like a healing component to us. He said, “I have rented multiple apartments when living in The States and remodeled my house too. All this while, I never felt the need to buy a permanent house as I live with my family but on a separate floor. It feels like the best of both worlds!” Reminiscing about his childhood memories from the first ever residence he lived at, the ‘Kalidasu’ fame stated, “There are so many childhood memories that I can never forget in my entire life. Best being, living with mom’s side of the family in my grandfather’s house until I grew up to be a five year old lad. Everyday was a dhamaka moment for us with cousins!”
Dreaming of a house is a very common symbol among people but to dream of a home that is full of affection and love, that is something different to see! With this dream of a house, he’s typically prompted to explore different facets of an internal landscape. His dream home should signify the actor, he feels! Different parts of a house can represent different areas of life to look at. He continued, “I appreciate traditional design of houses but when it comes to my own space, I tend to go contemporary.
I prefer a minimalistic design that is comfortable! It should boast of cleanliness, huge windows, and undeniable sleekness. Don’t have to go for the look of an industrial home kind of an outlet, but the warmth of wood should be felt inside. An endless modern home to look at that’s filled with love and exceptional décor. Open concept layout should allow you to showcase your interiors to the outside world.”
* Where the actor had spent some time living in the multifaceted apartments of the USA, when he moved to Hyderabad, he owns his own bungalow. He savored both kinds of properties and drew a comparison between the two. He mentioned, “Both have their own charm but I have got used to living in a bungalow now. I have always liked my privacy and even more so after becoming an actor. If I had all the money in the world, I guess there is never an end to what you can keep adding on but the vibes matter. Buying a bungalow is surely good if you want to live with adequate exclusivity away from the mundane interactions of your neighbors. You can live comparatively peacefully, often with a garden in natural surroundings.”
Sushanth always had a dream, a dream of his own home — a well-decorated home, a piece of heaven of his own, without the prying eyes and ears of the next door neighbors and he’s fulfilling it here in Hyderabad. He also included, “I am extremely content with whatever I have at the present. Specifically, a pool to chill and an exercise space would be my priority. I value my privacy very highly, my bungalow appeals to me. Living here also increased my social standing.” Spending his maximum time on the secluded floor he lives on is his way through contentment.
The very recent addition to his life, especially amid pandemic times was the gorgeous terrace where whenever Sushanth is feeling not so energized, he takes the steps upstairs to the terrace for a whiff of breeze. What makes it more special is the scenic view that he has, guess what, Sushanth owns the bungalow on top of a Hyderabadi hill! “It’s cozy, and has an amazing vantage point. I can spend my entire eternity here in this city. Number of bungalow townships are coming up here and they offer central amenities and facility management to make life easier for people like us who love their privacy so much.”
Want to know this electrical engineer turned actor’s envious design plan of the home he likes? He shares, “Ambient lighting is a must for me! I am a sucker for technology and automation. Individual spaces for each one is a necessity while being able to hang out in the common areas together. A good view, backyard or terrace — a pool wouldn’t hurt.” He is really kicking his home’s style factor into overdrive and getting inspired by modern facades. Hiring an interior designer or does he prefer going DIY? He responds, “I am really hands on kind of a person when there are any changes going on at my home. I always like to take inputs from an architect since they come up with fresh thoughts, I discuss in detail with them and it’s a collaborative process for us. Everyone deserves to live in an incredible space that brings us comfort and joy.”
Like any other individual, he is also attracted to few of the celeb homes and his own uncle Nagarjuna Akkineni’s residence tops the charts! He says, “I have always admired the way my uncle has built the home he has in the town, it’s not just unique but built with a lot of contemporary taste. Another one that tops my chart is Rana Daggubati’s lake-view from his garden, it will sweep you off your feet. I still know for a fact that there must be plenty of mansions in our city that are the hidden gems. Ever since I began renovating my house, I started noticing the minute details to any home that I was visiting. Be it a mist fan, a fragrance dispenser, a pergola or a swim spa — there is always something new out there if you keep your eyes open. It is nice for people to be able to choose from the different parts of the city according to their requirements. Quite a few friends have moved to the Gachibowli side of the city and they say it’s fun to live there.”
