Rs 9 crore recovered from 5 builders

Maha RERA officials have recovered Rs 9 crore from five builders who have been posing problems to customers by denying payment of compensation or refund the advance paid by them. The officials issued nine warrants to recover Rs 8.72 crore from the builders in Mumbai city, Mumbai suburban and Pune districts. Some of the builders have deposited the amount payable by them to customers with the District Collector, while some others have paid the amount to customers and resolved their problems. Meanwhile, the MahaRERA so far served 1015 warrants to recover Rs 623.30 crore.
