The Tamil Nadu RERA has taken a decision benefiting buyers with regard to a project that remained suspended for a long time in Coimbatore. It constituted a committee with RERA officials to implement the sale deeds or UDS share of the project. The RERA is going to write a letter to country planning department. Later, the association will apply to register with the RERA. Later, the body comprising buyers will complete the project. The RERA decision has brought relief to over 700 buyers.
Sahara Prime City launched Sahara City Homes project in Coimbatore in 2005. It made it clear that it will hand over the homes to buyers from 2011. But, it failed to keep its promise to buyers on timely delivery of properties. The investors in the project formed a body called Sahara Housing Investors’ Association. It lodged a complaint against Sahara Prime City in 2019. Therefore, the Tamil Nadu RERA took a decision in support of the buyers.
