Registration dept will register RWA’s
In 2019, citing High Court orders, the Inspector General of Registration Department issued a circular to District Registrar not to accept AGM report, accounts and other updates of Resident Welfare Associations. Since then the Resident Welfare Associations in Telangana have not been able to update their AGM and books of accounts of those who have registered their associations as Resident Welfare Associations. It is known that residents’ associations are also unable to operate their bank accounts. With the latest decision taken by the government, the way will be paved for the registration of these associations. “This is good news for all the resident welfare associations that were registered before 2013. Thanks to Marri Rajasekhar Reddy for helping us in this matter,” BT Srinivasan, general secretary of the United Federation of Registrations Welfare Association told Real Estate Guru.
