- Shall auction the flats in Jalala Township in Polepalli of Khammam district
- Only contractors and builders are allowed to take part in the bid
- Govt to raise Rs 1000 Cr by way of auctioning 2,246 flats
The Government of Telangana, which earned sizeable revenue by way of auction of government lands in various districts, has now decided to bring Rajiv Swagruha Sahabhavana Township flats near Nagole under the auctioneer’s hammer. Similarly, it has decided to auction 2,246 flats in Jalala township in Polepalli of Khammam district. The HMDA will conduct the auction in Hyderabad on March 24. It anticipates to raise Rs 1000 crore by way of the auction. However, the government wants to sell the flats to contractors and builders, instead of selling them to individuals.
It will invite bids block or cluster wise and sell them. Later, the builders will modify the flats as they like and put them in the market again. In fact, Rajiv Swagruha flats were sold in 2016 in Bandlaguda and Pocharam. But many flats remained unsold. In this backdrop, the government wants to divide flats in Bandlaguda into 15 blocks and those in Polepalli and Khammam into eight blocks.
The HMDA will provide basic amenities in these projects like roads by March next year. Several one, two and three-BHK flats would be made available for auction. The per sft price of flats in Bandlaguda would range between Rs 2200 and Rs 2700, while the price of flats in Polepalli in Khammam district would range between Rs 1500 and Rs 2000.
- The pre-bed meeting will be held on march 14 again.
- The last date for registering names to take part in the auction would be March 22.
- The auction for Bandlaguda flats would be held between 9 am and 12 noon on March 24.
- Auction Khammam district would be held between 2 pm and 5 pm on the same day.
