Residents of high-rise apartment complex Mapsko Mount Ville in Sector 79 of Gurgaon have resorted to agitational methods demanding power supply and drinking water and other basic amenities. The residents have no option except demonstrating against the builder of the high-rise apartment complex because of improper supply of drinking water and power.
The residents’ welfare society is currently supplying power using diesel power generator. Even after two years of obtaining the occupancy certificate, the builder did not apply for domestic power supply connection. At the time of building the project, the builder got 300 KV power connection. But, the society needs 2100 KV. Because of the demand-supply gap, the residents experience tripping of power at least 50 times daily at night, forcing them to spend sleepless nights.
During the past 20 hours, not a single tower of the high-rise structure got water supply, leading to residents using water in the swimming pool for bathing and for use in toilets. Currently, over 400 families live in the society.
