The fruit market in Kothapeta, Hyderabad has been temporarily set up at Batasingaram village in Abdullahpurmet mandal of Rangareddy district. Last year, the Telangana government has set up a logistics park in an area of 40 acres adjacent to this fruit market. Now this logistics park is home for warehouse of several major companies and a hub for other ancilliary units. A soft drinks company is already setting up its massive unit in this logistics park, while many others have also expedited efforts to commence their operations.

Close to the highwayPlots are available at low prices close to Vijayawada national highway between Kothagudem junction and Pochampally road. New ventures have mushroomed within a distance of 1.2 km-3 km from the highway.

 

In the years of 2003-04 and 2004-05, Sreemitra Townships, Swagruha and other companies started ventures in hundreds of acres with DTCP and Gram Panchayat layout approvals in Pochampally municipality and Piglipur village in Abdullapurmet Mandal in Rangareddy district. Rather than using the same name and having the same venture, these companies started small and medium ventures in different survey numbers, named as Deccan Heights and Saisoudha among others. Though these ventures are in the suburbs of Hyderabad city, there is a good demand for these plots and with the city expanding further, these plots are selling like hotcakes. Resale plots in DTCP layouts are available from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 per sq.yard and are attracting many prospective buyers. In the gram panchayat layouts, the land price is around Rs 4,000-Rs 8,000 per sq.yard. Recently, several HMDA approved layouts are coming up in the area with prices ranging from Rs 13,000-Rs 17,000 sq. yards.

Hyderabad outskirts

Kothagudem (Batasingaram) junction is just 9 kms away from Pedda Amberpet Outer Ring Road exit on the Vijayawada national highway. The junction is at a distance of 22 km from Nagole and 14 km from Hayatnagar. The Telangana government has already announced plans to extend the metro train services till Hayatnagar in next phase. As the city is expanding, there is a good demand for plots in DTCP and gram panchayat ventures located near the Vijayawada highway. The main reason for this is that plots are available at low rates and are good for investment.

  • DTCP as well as Gram Panchayat layout ventures have wide main roads with widths ranging from 100 feet to 50 feet. Similarly, the remaining roads are laid with 33 feet and 40 feet width. Most of these ventures are within just 5 km from Ramoji Film City. On the other hand, plans are afoot to widen the 50 feet wide Kothagudem-Pochampally road connecting Warangal Highway and Vijayawada Highway. Proposals for construction of another highway from Gowrelly to Chhattisgarh via Pochampally and Bhadradri Kothagudem have already been under consideration. Markings were also done for the road. The buyers believe that the plots between the two highways have a better future
