North Hyderabad has been neglected

  • Connectivity should be increased here
  • CREDAI Telangana president Ch Ramachandra Reddy

CREDAI Telangana President Cheruku Ramachandra Reddy said that North Hyderabad has been neglected for long when compared to West Hyderabad. He urged the government to focus on this area and take measures to improve connectivity that would expedite development. Speaking at CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show held at Kompally recently, he felt that due to the government’s apathy, Kompally and Suchitra areas are far behind in terms of infrastructure development, compared to West Hyderabad even during 2007-08.

Compared to the previous decade, there has been a significant improvement in terms of development in these areas over the last couple of years. He explained that though the real estate prices have increased, they were still low compared to West Hyderabad. This is due to North Hyderabad being neglected in terms of connectivity for long. He expressed concern that there is good connectivity on both the Eastern and Western parts of Hyderabad, but the infrastructure including flyovers are not visible in North Hyderabad. Hence, the government has been requested to focus on this and construct flyovers at Kompally and Suchitra junctions as well as provide Metro Rail connectivity.

* At present, the average price of an apartment in Hyderabad ranges from Rs 6,200 to Rs 6,400 per sq.ft, while an apartment with all the facilities in North Hyderabad can be found for only Rs 5,000 per sq.ft. He suggested that this is a good time to buy property here as connectivity will increase which will have impact on property prices in near future.
