All eyes are riveted on Hyderabad as the BJP’s national executive unfolds at Novatel hotel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi graces the occasion. He would stay put in the hotel during his two-day visit to the city. In this backdrop, Telangana realtors are demanding the BJP to spell out its policy on real estate development and solving the problems specific to the sector. It placed before the national party the problems pertaining to the realty sector – problems being faced by developers as well as members of the public – and sought solutions to the problems.
- Over 26 lakhs have applied for the LRS in Telangana. Therefore, it wants the BJP to do away with the land regularization scheme and reduce property registration charges.
- Over 10 lakh farmers have been facing problems due to the glitches in the Dharani portal. Therefore, the realtors wanted the BJP to scrap the portal project.
- There are lakhs of farmers who have saada bynama for their lands and enjoying the benefits of the property. The land should be converted into their names without any fees.
- New house sites in village panchayat layouts should be registered immediately. Permission should be given on an urgent basis for owners of plots, not locked under the LRS, to build homes.
- Over 15 lakh farmers have been assigned 25 lakh acres. Therefore, they should be given the right to sell the land passing on the permanent right to them.
- The realtors sought land pattas to Podu lands being cultivated by tribals.
- There are over 60-lakh tenant farmers. They are not getting the fruits of their hard labour. Therefore, the BJP should make public how is it going to benefit them.
- There are over 12-lakh realtors across Telangana. They should be given recognition and identity. They should be allotted suitable land to build real estate association building in all districts.
