- HMDA established with Rs.17.2 crores
As part of the efforts of the state government to beautify the surroundings of the Buddha Purnima Project near the Hussain Sagar Lake, the state government installed a floating musical fountain at a cost of Rs 17.2 crore. Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Mahmood Ali, Mayor Gadwala Vijaya Lakshmi, Deputy Mayor Srilatha Shobhan Reddy, MLA Dana Nagender, Corporator Vijaya Reddy, MAUD Special Chief Secretary, HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner Arvind Kumar inaugurated the floating musical fountain in Hussain Sagar near Lumbini Park. Later speaking to media, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that Hyderabad has gained unprecedented popularity and the HMDA officials developed the musical fountain as per the directions of the Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao to groom the Tank Bund area and its surrounding areas a major tourist attraction.
- 180m long, 10m wide and 90m tall floating-type musical fountain has been established in Hussain Sagar Lake near NTR Marg by the HMDA at a cost of Rs.17.02 crore
- The Musical Fountain is the largest floating fountain in India with an iconic feature of 180 meters tall.
- The fountain has 3 sets of laser which show different themes
- The fountain also has misty fairy fog that creates a cloud effect with music
- All nozzles and jets of the fountain are programmed by DMX controller and synchronized with the music
- 800 jet nozzles made of SS304 and 880 underwater LED lights with IP68 rating are installed to create this dynamic fountain
- The spray height of the chasing nozzles ranges from 12 m to 45 m, while the central jet is the tallest jet with a spray height of 90
- The Musical Fountain performs 3 shows of 20 minutes each day on weekdays from 7 pm to 10 pm and 4 shows on weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and public holidays
