Increased carbon emissions with skyscrapers

Tallest buildings are now visible everywhere in cities. Skyscrapers are seen as a symbol of progress, and permissions are being granted for them despite the fact that they emit 15% more carbon into the environment.

4,000 tonnes of steel material was used for the construction of the tallest building like Burj Khalifa in Dubai. In the process of producing such structural steel, 15 percent more carbon emissions were released into the atmosphere. Opinions are being expressed that high-rise buildings will harm the environment. Concerns are being raised about the environmental damage caused by high-rise buildings. Critics argue that constructions like these contribute significantly to environmental degradation. However, the authorities seem indifferent to such concerns.

Indeed, constructing tall buildings isn’t solely an architectural endeavor; it’s big business. The taller the building, the greater the impact it makes. Consequently, everyone is now eyeing high-rise buildings. Hyderabad, too, is witnessing the construction of buildings ranging from 40 to 50 stories high. However, such constructions are releasing more carbon into the environment. Environmentalists are urging action to mitigate the environmental impact of these constructions.
