- Effective from February 1
- Exemption for 29 villages in the capital region
Land registration values are set to increase in Andhra Pradesh. The newly decided land registration values will come into effect across the state from February 1, as announced by Minister Anagani Satyaprasad. He clarified that 29 villages in the capital region of Amaravati will be exempted from this increase, keeping in mind the welfare of the poor in those areas.
The minister mentioned that the government is evaluating public objections and suggestions regarding the increase in registration values. Where the land values in the open market are higher than the government’s values, the registration values will be increased. In many places, the market value is up to ten times higher than the book value. These increases will apply to such growth centres, especially where plots have been developed. He also mentioned that a re-survey is being conducted to resolve land issues. He assured that all issues would be addressed, and land rights would be provided to the people.
