CM to inaugurate it on May 8
The Telangana government’s establishment of Hydra has become a sensational topic in Hyderabad, and there has been significant demand for its expansion to other districts as well. Hydra’s primary goal is to demolish illegal constructions, with a focus on the protection of lakes, parks, and government land. The government has granted additional powers to Hydra, and it is already known that Hydra will be setting up police stations. Hydra Commissioner Ranganath had previously announced that Hydra police stations would be established.
On the 8th of this month, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will inaugurate the Hydra Police Station. Moving forward, cases related to land encroachments on lakes, parks, and government properties will be registered based on complaints from locals and officials at Hydra police stations. Currently, Hydra is taking action on land encroachment cases filed in regular police stations. However, there is a possibility that cases from regular police stations could be transferred to the Hydra police stations in the future.
