High-rise towers to adorn Hyderabad sky-scape

  • GHMC accords permission to 14 buildings each having 30 floors
  • GHMC nets a total revenue of Rs 1056 crore

High-rise towers are going to dot Hyderabad sky-scape soon as the realty market in the city is galloping. The GHMC gave permissions for construction of, total of 60 high-rise residential projects, 22 high-rise commercial projects and 16 gated community projects in 2022. Of them, 14 buildings would have more than 30 floors, while the rest range between 10 and 30 floors. The project that is coming up in Serilingampalli having 47 floors is billed as the largest one, according to a report released by the GHMC on town planning activities in 2022.

Through TS-bPASS, 716 buildings were given permission under instant registration category, 11,088 buildings were given instant approval, 1920 were given approvals under single-window mechanism, 2390 buildings were given the occupancy certificates. The following buildings were given approvals under various categories: personal category-11,812, residential apartments-1934, commercial-192, institutions-21, Assembly buildings-6, industrial-7, Medical-18, parking towers-1, public utility-3 and residential-cum-commercial (mixed category)-5. On the whole, the GHMC earned revenue of Rs 1056.37 crore by way of giving approvals to various buildings in 2022. The GHMC acquired various assets for the purpose of widening of roads. In 2022, 18 road widening projects have been completed. For the purpose, it acquired 515 properties. It granted 483 TDR certificates.
