Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated the ITC Welcome Hotel in Guntur and said that he was happy to note that the Welcome Group established its hotel in Guntur. He congratulated the ITC Chairman-cum-Managing Director Sanjeev Puri on the occasion.
He said partnering with the ITC group is a good opportunity. Having a five-star hotel in a city like Guntur, that too in partnership with ITC is a welcome development.
He said the AP Government has been forging ahead in the agriculture sector with ITC partnership. In any village in AP, one can come across development in education, medical and health and agriculture sector.
In the agriculture sector, there are Rytu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs). Over 10,700 RBKs take care of providing farmers right from seeds to sale of farmers’ produce. The RBKs main objective is to provide basic infrastructural amenities and bring sea changes in the farm sector. At the primary processing level, all basic amenities have been provided in villages, he said.
Secondary processing levels will be set up in parliamentary constituencies. The ITC is going to partner with AP Government in this regard and play a crucial role in this regard.
