Fire Dept NoC not needed

Those who have sought permission from local authorities to build special category buildings, they are not required to obtain a NoC from the fire department. Rules have been amended accordingly, according to Delhi Municipal Corporation. Earlier, it is mandatory to obtain the NoC from fire department first to sanction permissions for construction of a building. However, this rule has been exempted for special category buildings, the civic body asserted.

As per the revised rules, NoC from fire department is not needed for the buildings having ground plus three floors and having stilt parking facility provided the height of the building is not exceeding 17.5 meters. However, the civic body made it clear that the revised rules are not applicable to buildings not having the stilt parking facility.
