Huge assets were found in former HMDA director Siva Balakrishna’s house. From his Nanakramguda’s house, jewellery, Rs 84 lakh cash and property documents were taken into possession. Along with villas and flats in Hyderabad, he has a few acres of land in the suburbs. Around 100 acres of land documents were seized in the surrounding areas of Hyderabad.

Searches were conducted in Balakrishna’s house as well as his relatives and friends. Gold ornaments weighing about two kilos, heavy silver and more than 80 expensive watches were also seized. A large number of iPhones were seized. The land documents of 90 acres have been acquired, which includes 17 acres in Kodakand, 26 acres in Kalvakurti, 23 acres in Yadadri, 24 acres in Janagaon. All the lands were found to be in the names of benamis. ACB officials say that Balakrishna’s benami will also be questioned. He is known to have investments in many companies.
Apart from being the Director of HMDA, Balakrishna played a key role in the Metro Rail Planning Department. There are allegations that as TS RERA secretary, he has benefited many real estate companies. ACB officials said that they are fully verifying the property documents found in the house till now.

Did Balakrishna clear the

project with a court case in Kollur

The government has responded to an article written by REG News about how HMDA has permitted the land in the court case. How did it allow RS Pasuraa Tellapur Builders to develop a project there? The project is being built in which survey numbers? The Municipal Administration Department has directed the HMDA to submit a report detailing whether there are any cases in the respective survey numbers. With this, the HMDA officials who entered the field are collecting the complete details of the RS Pasuraa Developers project. It is reported that the Tellapur Commissioner is collecting the details himself. It is learned that Balakrishna, who has recently been caught by the ACB, gave permission while he was the director of HMDA. According to his advice, instead of court case survey numbers, they have applied for permission with other survey numbers.

Where did the mistake lie?

RS Pasuraa Developers has entered into an agreement with the owners of the land to construct a residential project on 24.14 acres of land at survey numbers 137 and 138 in Kollur. Later, it took permission (0023225/BP/HAHMDA/0468/SKP 2023) from HMDA to construct apartments on 15.26 acres of land. Ten percent of the built-up area was mortgaged (18125/2023) to the HMDA. It is registered at the Patancheru Registration Office. The twist here is that there is a case in Sangareddy Court regarding survey number 138/AA, which is a part of survey number 138 in Kollur. That is, survey no. 138/AA is not part of survey no. 138? Is that a different survey number? Has the permission been granted greedy for funds, aware of this matter? Or did they give permission without knowing that there was a case? Also, due to the case on survey number 138/AA, it will be known soon whether HMDA will cancel the permission given to RS Pasuraa Developers.

His arrest shocks

developers

Some of the builders and realtors in Hyderabad’s construction sector were suddenly shocked by the arrest of the former director of HMDA, Sivabalakrishna. There is a reputation among builders that if Balakrishna is approached, permission will be granted quickly. He is known to grant permission without troubling builders in the name of rules. That’s why most people, to please him in some way, gift him expensive stuff like watches, Apple phones, and laptops, among others.
