Amit Gossain, MD of Kone Elevators, stated that the safety of their customers is the most important aspect for them. He mentioned that their focus is primarily on safe standards in the manufacturing of elevators and escalators.
He revealed that their company, which started 140 years ago with its headquarters in Helsinki, Finland, has been a leader in the field, providing services in India for 40 years. He gave a special interview on various aspects to the Real Estate Guru. Excerpts from the interview:
“Our company, a leader in the manufacturing of escalators and elevators, has been providing services in India for 40 years. We have an LGE Technology Center in Chennai and another technical center in Pune. Currently, there are approximately 50 offices across India, and we are planning to expand further. Our company employs 5,800 people, and an additional 2,000 subcontractors work with us. We have taken all necessary measures to ensure that the transportation and installation of elevators and escalators proceed smoothly without any issues.”
“Credai is a very important organization. It brings builders and developers onto a single platform. It is quite unique in India, and especially crucial for Hyderabad. The builders’ association here is very large. Moreover, Hyderabad is a very significant place for real estate. Therefore, all eyes are on this city. Currently, our company’s turnover is around 400 billion dollars. By 2030, we aim to reach one trillion dollars.”
“If the government pays a bit more attention, there are clear conditions for providing affordable housing for everyone. The GDP indicates that people’s conditions are improving. Luxury and other sectors have also shown strong recovery. The retail sector is not in a dire state. The commercial sector has bounced back well. Due to our robust economic growth, substantial investments are flowing into the country. There is a significant need for escalators and elevators in many metros and railway stations. Therefore, this sector continues to grow steadily. In this context, Kone is always introducing new products. We have a vast range of products in the country. Along with India, we also offer products suitable for small homes globally. Additionally, we have our largest factory in Chennai, where many elevators and escalators are manufactured.”
“We continuously upgrade our technology to meet customer needs. At one point, we had mechanical elevators. In fact, Kone was the first company in the world to offer a digital connected elevator. We have undertaken very large projects, including the largest elevator in India, which we installed at the Jio Center in Mumbai. This elevator can transport 235 people at a time. We also installed the fastest elevator in India, the Kone RY 360. Kone elevators are present in many tall buildings in India, with many more on the way. To maintain constant contact with our customers, we provide AI-based 24/7 services. If there is any potential issue, it is detected and reported in advance. Our engineers then immediately go to address and fix the problem. This means we handle everything to ensure our customers face no inconvenience, allowing them to remain completely safe and secure. The safety of our customers is our top priority. We focus on ensuring their security and maintain continuous relationships with them.”
“We gather feedback on our services and products. This allows us to continuously introduce new innovations and products for our customers. We have also digitalised many aspects of our operations. For payments, we introduced an app that has received positive feedback for its ease of use. We thank our customers for giving us the opportunity to serve them and for providing us with the highest loyalty score,” he mentioned. He also commented that CREDAI is very crucial in the builder community.
