A case has been registered against a Mumbai-based builder for cheating a flat buyer. It is noteworthy that this is the 10th case against the builder. The police have recently registered a case against director Jayesh Tanna, his wife Shraddha, brother Deep Tanna, and son Vivek Tanna of Shashi Sagar Consultants. Andheri-based businessman Vinod Punjabi booked a 3-bedroom flat in Jayesh’s project in 2014. He paid Rs. 3.3 crore for a 1200 square feet flat on the 9th floor. The project should be completed in 2017, and the flat should be handed over. But Jayesh did not do that. Jayesh also took Rs. 17 lakh from Vinod for stamp duty. But the stamp duty was not done. When Vinod approached the police, it turned out that the flat had already been sold to someone else. In this regard, a cheating case was registered against Jayesh.
