Book sand in online easily

· TSMDC launches portal to facilitate online booking of sand · The status of the sand booked can be monitored online in real time To check irregularities in the sale of sand and to check black-marketing of it, the Government of Telangana has taken a crucial measure: encouraging online booking of sand by the needy from the comfort of their homes. As part of it, the state government launched a portal. Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao launched the portal (www.tsmdc.telangana.gov.in) on Friday. Besides construction companies, private companies and individuals can book sand online and can track down the transportation in real time. The Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation introduced the sand sales management and monitoring system in this regard.

The features of the portal are as follows:

· Online registration in the portal is easy. There is not need to fill big formatted forms. · Customers can track down their order status. · The transportation charges of sand from state to state are very easy. · Customers can clear their doubts quickly by raising a ticket for the purpose. · The portal gives the availability of the sand stock across the state

One has to register in the portal online to book the sand. For the purpose the following documents are needed:

· Official letter · Copy of the work offer or agreement copy · Copy of estimation

To get sand required for private works the following documents should be submitted:

· Building plan approval copy · Identity proof · Application made on the company’s letter head

To book sand the following measures should be initiated:

· Fist one should enter the portal www.sand.telangana.gov.in and choose registration from the menu and select customer registration · In the page that is going to pop-up, the applicants should enter mobile number. An OTP will be sent to the person’s mobile phone. The OTP number should be entered in the slot. · Upon verification of the OTP, A registration form pops-up. The customers should enter their particulars in it. · Having completed the registration, one should enter the www.sand.telangana.gov.in and login with the help of user name and password. · Later, one should select the person’s district and choose the stock yard. · The person should enter particulars there and then select the button Register and later the person should press the OK button. Then a booking number pops up. It should be noted down. · On completing the payment, receipt can be downloaded by pressing the button get receipt. · The portal also gives information about the status of the transportation once sand is booked · One should press the tab tracking in www.sand.telangana.gov.in and then should click the track your order. One should register the order ID and should click get status button. · Upon entering the mobile number one should find out the order status of a person. Using the portal one can register the vehicle used to transport the sand. One should enter the portal www.sand.telangana.gov.in and press the “registration” tab and again press the ‘Vehicle Registration’ tab. Later, details like mobile phone number, vehicle number, RC details, house address, engine address and other information should be registered. Once the registration is through successfully, then a registration number will be sent to the mobile of the applicant. One can verify whether his or her vehicle is registered with the portal or not.
