Anjali Tendulkar buys apartment in Virar area near Mumbai

391 sq ft flat for Rs 32 lakh Anjali Tendulkar, wife of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, purchased a 391 sq. ft. apartment in the building Peninsula Heights located in Virar, near Mumbai, for Rs 32 lakh. The flat is on the third floor of the building. The registration was completed on May 30, 2025, with a stamp duty of Rs 1.92 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000. As a female homebuyer, Anjali Tendulkar also received a 1% concession on the stamp duty. According to local brokers, residential property rates in Virar range from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000 per sq. ft. depending on the location. Virar is part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and is situated to the north of Mumbai city centre. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Gauri Khan, a renowned interior designer and wife of Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan, rented a 725 sq. ft., 2 BHK apartment in Khar West, Mumbai, for her staff at a starting monthly rent of Rs 1.35 lakh.
