Vedanta Resources founder chairman Anil Agarwal family bought a flat spending Rs 45 crore in Raheza Legend Premium Residential Tower in Worli area of Mumbai. The sea-view apartment is located on the 36th floor is acquired by Kiran, wife of Agarwal and Vedanta Foundation trustee. It has a plinth area of 3084 sft. Rahul Narang, Chairman of Narang Group founder sold it to Agarwal family at the rate of Rs 1.46 lakh per sft. The transaction is described as the costliest in the country. Rs 2.25 crore has been paid towards the stamp duty. The registration has been through on July 1, according to reliable sources.
Currently, the Agarwal family lives in Samudra Mahal. The family owns a bungalow in the area, which is billed as the up market residential locality. Several are of the view that the Agarwal family has no plans to move into Raheza Legend, but they bought the flat purely for investment purpose. Further, Inox Group promoter Siddharth Jain recently bought a quadruplex in the same Raheza Legend complex spending Rs 144 crore. Raheja Legend hit headlines as one of the apartments in the complex fetched the promoters the record price.
