New constructions are leading the city’s residential real estate at a time when home purchases have picked up pace in the wake of record low home loan interest rates & record low affordability driven by stable real estate prices! But amidst this, there is a Wild Dog actor who recently bought a 2bhk and left no stone unturned to fulfill all that he ever desired for to be in his cozy place. He just didn’t crafted a dream home but an accessible dream home. Let’s hear it from Ali Reza himself,
“Most lavish decor piques my interest more than ever to be in a home of classy interiors but at the same time I don’t appreciate messed up places. A disorganized place curbs the space which is messy.” It was only after getting married that Ali felt the need to expand his lifestyle, so much so that he wanted it to be exactly how he ever imagined in his dreams to be. “My mom & me are so similar in this manner, she’s also extremely strict about the way she wants her house to be and where to be at. For me too, it’s like mera ghar and mera raaj! With whatever budget I had, I played with it and now own a cozy 2bhk. You can say I have garnered little inspiration from the time I was in Dubai too. For three years I was staying at Discovery Gardens there and Dubai interiors are something else! They just don’t go traditional, and I stay away from ethnic interiors because that’s not my style. I am more of white interior kind of person,” added the actor.
He ensured in many ways that he is able to bring the wood-work in his luxurious flat to the limelight, and for that he hired an interior decorator too. Both of them joined hands to build an English home! He continues, “I am already living in my dream home. This was just the way I wanted it to come out. It’s only natural that when I’ll be able to afford more in life, my desires will also change and I am hoping for the best. Just like to mention, that I am so peculiar about neatness too! My wife is annoyed by this habit of mine, we are opposites but that’s how it’s. I want everything to be prim and proper in our bedroom.” He then recalled his first ever residence, the place where he spent maximum time at and he remembered how a full floor was just Ali’s while he shifted to a penthouse. He says, “Initially we were living in a joint family and then came a time when he had to move out naturally. That’s how the cycle of life goes these days. My father had bought a penthouse, I had a whole floor to myself and it was so spacious that I had the time of my life there at the age of eight years old. The penthouse was in an apartment yet we had our own lawn to sit at, that also seemed like an independent space to me. That was the richness of the penthouse I was raised in. While my dad was busy building the penthouse, meanwhile we were living in another rented home. Due to some vague issues with the builder, it was taking time and hence my parents decided to not just spend ample money but also their love for that penthouse.”
He told us exclusively that Ali’s mom turns into an artist when it’s about homes being constructed anywhere in this world! He elaborates, “She loved gardens so she built one for us. You give a lakh rupees to my mother, she’ll spend it all on the home decor. It’s like a stress buster for her! She’s known for crafting miniature gardens. Many of my celeb friends were eager to invest in what she does with all the talent that she has and expand it into a lavish business, but it’s just her truthful nature that she never took that offer up. I personally felt it’s a humongous business to do!”
When we asked his personal preferences, he informed us that he wouldn’t be interested in a villa or a bungalow but he had his own practical reasons to not choose the former at the moment. He stated, “A bungalow carries a lot of maintenance with it. Then if i wish to have a bungalow, as my habit pinches me, it should be the most proper bungalow with everything massive and more than two in number. Expenditure organically increases too. Until and unless I can afford everything on my own, I have no intentions to even wish for one. I am as clear as this in my life. The bungalow will require servants to look after it, and I can’t burden my wife ever. I would rather invest in a residential gated complex, the real estate scene is spreading its wings like an eagle. It’s all so favorable for my newly born, with a bunglow who will she even play with? An apartment offers her so many friends, a clubhouse and a giant park to play. She wouldn’t need another sibling at the moment at all as many are trying to insinuate in my life (he giggles) Basically I need no headache with a bunglow, that minimizes a little when we are living in a flat.” Everyone has their most favorite corners in the home, and Ali’s would be his balcony without a doubt because he claims himself to be the most crankier person when he wakes up in the morning, and it’s his morning cup of coffee in the balcony that soothes him and brings him back to this universe with a bang.
He also exclaims, “I am used to silence early in the mornings. I was raised in an environment, in a home that had pin drop silence. Even if a motorbike is passing outside my home, we’ll know it inside. My wife is from Mumbai, she owns a lavish flat there! As lavish and costly that you can buy a duplex here in Hyderabad, yet I can’t make my peace with the Mumbai flat with all the hustle and bustle around it. Too many people around me also gets onto my nerves sometimes, and then the noise. Whenever I am buying my bunglow, it will surely be at a place where I can’t even hear a leaf withering (he laughs).” Further in conversation we also get to know his new emerging interest for indoor plants but in a bathroom! Where did he see this though? Well, as we all know he has been shooting back to back and in one of the sets, in a shooting residence he spotted that and since then he couldn’t forget those strips of indoor plants placed in the loo.
He also revealed, “Many of my celeb friends who probably earn more than me, despite that loved my cozy flat. That makes me feel I built it right. And I know it’s the positive aura that attracted them. I do that with the help of lights too, I have both white and warm lights positioned everywhere in the flat. As soon as it’s pitch dark outside, that’s around 6p.m every evening, I’ll switch on the lights immediately because that time of the day starts to depress me for some odd reason. My family worries about the electricity bill, but I care a damn. I want my flat to be as bright as the morning sun shining ahead of its time!” This was Ali Reza’s dream home attuned to his specific interests, as freeing as it can be. He created exactly what he wanted, limited to his budget and his imagination. The home of his dreams became his reality!
