BioAsia 2026: Global Life Sciences Majors Announce Major Investments, Job Creation in Hyderabad


The life sciences and healthcare ecosystem of Hyderabad received a major boost at BioAsia 2026, with global and domestic companies announcing significant investments, capacity expansions, and innovation-led projects at the event held at HICC Novotel. Opella Healthcare, a global consumer healthcare company spun off from Sanofi and headquartered in France, announced the expansion of its Global Capability Centre (GCC) operations in Hyderabad. The company will operate out of a 42,000 sq. ft. facility, with plans to create up to 500 jobs over the next year, strengthening its global operations from India.

In another significant announcement, Vaksindo Animal Health Pvt Ltd, a division of JAPFA Indonesia, revealed plans to establish a state-of-the-art BSL-3 vaccine manufacturing facility at Genome Valley. The facility will focus on manufacturing vaccines for poultry, cattle, swine, and aquaculture, reinforcing India’s position in animal healthcare and biosecurity.

AI and data science firm Tredence Inc also announced the launch of its Hyderabad operations as a dedicated innovation hub for AI-driven healthcare and life sciences analytics. The new centre, spanning around 18,000 sq. ft., will support the company’s global client base and advanced analytics initiatives.

Further deepening Genome Valley’s stature as a global life sciences destination, Rx Propellant unveiled plans to develop a large-format life sciences campus in Hyderabad. Spread across approximately 12 acres, the project will deliver over 1 million sq. ft. of advanced laboratory and research infrastructure in phased development over the next six years.

Industry leaders noted that these announcements at BioAsia 2026 underline Hyderabad’s growing prominence as a preferred destination for life sciences manufacturing, healthcare innovation, AI-led analytics, and global capability centres, supported by robust infrastructure and a strong policy eco system.
