- Illegal appointments in RERA
- TG Chairman and members should be removed
- Recover two years’ salary
Congress party member Dr. Lubna Sarwath has demanded the immediate removal of Telangana RERA Committee Chairman Dr. N. Satyanarayana and other members. She stated that their appointments were invalid according to the RERA Act of 2016, and urged the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in a letter for proper appointments as per the law. In the letter, she highlighted several issues, mentioning that the then RERA Chairman Satyanarayana, along with members Lakshminarayana and Srinivasarao, were appointed in violation of the 2016 RERA Act.
She also pointed out that there were no proper procedures followed by the selection committee and that all appointments made by the previous government were incorrect, requesting that these appointments be recognised as fraudulent. Additionally, she requested that the salaries paid to them since June 2023 be recovered. She also sent a document outlining the RERA appointment regulations to the Chief Minister. She demanded the immediate removal of the Chairman and two other members, emphasising that retired judges or individuals who served as Chief Secretaries should have been appointed, not those who retired as Collectors or Commissioners, which was in violation of the regulations.
