In areas like Shamshabad, Financial District, Hitec City, Kondapur, and Shamirpet, renowned hotel brands such as Hilton, JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton, W, Hyatt Palace, and Oberoi are currently under construction.
If everything goes as planned, some of these hotels will be completed this year, a few more next year, and the rest by 2029, 2030, and 2032. So, where exactly are these new star hotels being constructed? Which companies are building them? And how many rooms will each hotel have?
In the past, Ivanka Trump's visit and more recently the Miss World pageant have brought international recognition to the City of Pearls. Global companies have realized that investing here yields better returns than expected. As a result, a significant number of Global Capability Centers are setting up operations in the city.
Thanks to business summits, commercial expos, and luxury tourism, Hyderabad is drawing the attention of the world. In this context, to attract not just domestic and international tourists, but also business leaders, industrialists, and representatives of global corporations, the construction of new star hotels in Hyderabad has gained momentum.
Globally renowned hotel brands are actively planning to build new star hotels in Hyderabad. While some have already commenced construction, others remain in the planning stages. According to information from a real estate expert, approximately fifty new star hotels are set to be established across the city. These hotels will be located in key areas such as Kokapet Neopolis, the Financial District, Budvel, Shamshabad, near the Airport, Hitech City, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Downtown, Shamirpet, Turkapally, Mominpet, and Moosapet. This significant development reflects Hyderabad’s growing importance as a hub for luxury hospitality and business tourism.
In Neopolis…
It is well known that Neopolis in Kokapet is one of the hottest locations in Hyderabad. The Brigade Group is developing an Intercontinental commercial and residential project here, which is expected to be completed by 2030 and will feature a hotel with 250 rooms. In the Financial District, a Hilton hotel and convention centre are coming up, with plans for 330 rooms and a convention centre capable of accommodating 60,000 people. Lansum Developers are building a Radisson Collection hotel in the Financial District, which will have around 300 rooms and is slated for completion by 2029. The ITC WelcomHotel is being developed at Palm Exotica in Shankarpally, featuring 150 rooms. Developer S.P. Reddy is planning to build a hotel named Maxi in the Financial District, which will have 180 rooms and is expected to open by 2030.
Near the airport…
In Budvel close to Shamshabad Airport, JW Marriott and Residences are being designed by a company called Pooja Crafted Homes. The project will have 330 rooms and banquet space for 3,500 people. It is expected to be completed by 2030. The Ritz-Carlton Resort and branded villa project in Shamshabad is constructing a 200-room hotel. At the airport, GMR is building the Taj Vivanta project, which will have 225 rooms and is also expected to be completed by 2030. In Shamshabad, the Ritz-Carlton Resort and branded villas with 200 rooms, the Grand Hyatt near the World Trade Centre, and the Holiday Inn at Srisailam Cross Roads are all scheduled to open by 2030. It is also reported that Prestige Group will construct a JW Marriott hotel in Shamshabad.
New in Madhapur.. In Hitec City, Salarpuria Sattva has designed the St. Regis Hotel, which will feature approximately 200 rooms. In the same area, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, known for its chalet-style accommodations, will have 200 rooms, while the Prestige Oberoi Hotel will offer 220 rooms. All these hotels are expected to open by 2032. Renowned Hyderabad developer S.P. Reddy is constructing a 280-room Renaissance Hotel in Hitech City. Additionally, Shami Hotels is nearing completion of the W Hotel near Ramki Towers, RR Corp is building the Hyatt Place in Kondapur, and DSR Group is developing the Welcom Hotel in Downtown Hyderabad.
In Shamirpet, RR Corp is constructing either a Gateway or Radisson Collection Hotel with 125 rooms. Meanwhile, a 115-room Hilton Hotel is coming up in Turkapally, and a Gateway or Epic Collection Hotel in Shamirpet is slated to open in 2026.
