Yet another case was registered against the GBP group, the 14th one, for having duped 29 persons to the tune of Rs 7 crore. The case was registered following a complaint lodged with the police by Darmiyan Singh of Sector 20 in Mohali.
The complainant alleged that Gupta Builders and Promoters (GBP) directors Satish Gupta, Raman Gupta, Pradip Gupta, and Anupam Gupta cheated him and 28 others to the tune of Rs 7 crore on the pretext of selling plots in their project Smart City in Mullanpur. He alleged that the GBP group did not hand over plots after collecting money from them. On April 22, the police registered four cases. They registered yet another case following a complaint lodged by Darmiyan Singh.
